The clinical director at my work came to me and invited me to a dinner that a pharmaceutical company (pure evil!) was putting on to try and sell a new antidepressant. He said that it was a free meal in a shi-shi restaurant, so I figured why not? Now typically only Psychiatrists are invited to these for obvious reasons and when I got there I figured out he only invited me because he needed bodies, so the place wasn't empty! He claims that isn't true, but come on! I supervise a call center, I have nothing to do with medications!
Anyway, the point to all of this is that I had the most delicious meal I have had in weeks! I wanted to take a picture of the mini menu to show you, but it really wasn't that kind of place! In fact, I felt a little under dressed even though I was in my work clothes. I decided on the Filet Mignon (ALWAYS go big!) and it came with potatoes and fresh green beans and delicious bread. What REALLY got to me though was the dessert. They bring out this Bread Pudding in a Jack Daniels butter sauce and I think I died and went to heaven! I have never tasted anything so fabulous in my life. I was so full, but I could not stop eating it! I don't think I have had any kind of bread pudding before so maybe it is all delicious, but it is now my mission to try and find a similar recipe and duplicate it.

if you find one please post it. bread pudding for me is one of those things like homemade caramel icing...love it but don't have a clue how to make it, get the recipe, make it, wallow in it and promptly lose the recipe so i can never make it again. :) Maybe if you post it on the blog it will have a permanent home so I can find it :) so it's all about me y'know :) have a good one!
